The Chocolate Box — See’s Candy Piece by Piece #10 — Nuts About Nuts
Whenever I eat a See’s candy that contains nuts I am very impressed with the quality and taste of the nuts. See’s Candies really “gets” nuts.
The Chocolate Box keeps it simple by trying See’s piece number 13, Milk Almonds.

Tasting Report
Description: A rough and bumpy round disk so full of whole almonds that they look like they are about to burst through their chocolate casing.
Taste: This one is for nut lovers, since there is nothing else in the candy but milk chocolate and roasted almonds. The almonds are crisp and full of flavor and very fresh tasting. The mixed bites of milk chocolate and nuts provide a nice creaminess as well as the satisfaction of a hit of good milk chocolate taste.
See’s Trivia: Since the 1930s, See’s almond supplier has been the Slate family. They have a family operation near Paso Robles, California.
Ingredients: Milk Chocolate Covering (sugar, milk cocoa butter, chocolate, soy lecithin, vanillin), almonds
Well Fed Network Rating: As compared to other See’s candies, I’d rate this one a 7.5. Pro: Great ingredients. Con: Maybe a bit blah for some.
