Faith,
As a frequenter of See's, I'm surprised I've never noticed these. I will seek it out next time I "happen" to go there. My other grandparents had a lot of hard candy, like sour balls and butterscotch discs. Not terrible, but NOT Almond Roca, needless to say.

A grandpa who is partial to Hershey bars is, indeed, a very fortunate and excellent grandpa to have. Both of my grandpas were diabetic - A fate, I think, worse than... well... it would really suck.
My sons' grandma (my mother in law) likes the See's version of coffee nips. My kids never went for that. Grandpa (father in law) dispenses mint lifesavers, still a big favorite even though the boys are now 15 and 18. My own grandma was partial to Hershey bars.

Tripp:
Well, since this was paying tribute to my grandma, I wanted to focus on the positive. And besides, I LOVE Aplets and Cotlets, so speak for yourself. This topic has been much discussed (by myself and others) with Cybele over at Candy Blog, in reference to her recent Turkish Delight review. http://www.typetive.com/candyblog/item/fruit_parfaits/

Nice one, but you should have mentioned the dark side of grandma candy like Applets and Cotlets. Those things kill me.
