Limited Edition Chocolate Goodness
Pair the words “limited edition” and chocolate together and I’ll jump at the chance to do a bit of taste testing. If you’ll remember a few months back I taste tested a couple limited edition chocolate and caramel candies: Hershey’s With Caramel and Reese’s Cups with caramel. Well, this time around I decided on a double dose of chocolate - Reese’s Double Chocolate Cups and Kit Kat Milkshake.

I’m pleased to report that not a single bite went to waste with either of these candies. Neither was a disappointment, but as was the case last time, I wasn’t wowed by the Reese’s cups. The Kit Kat, on the other hand? I was completely hooked. They’re definitely on to something with this Kit Kat Milkshake; it totally captured the taste of a malted chocolate milkshake - YUM!
The Kit Kat tasted like a very creamy milkshake with a bit of a malt flavor. The malt flavor was only slight, nothing overwhelming, just enough to know it’s there but not overpower the Kit Kat experience. I hands down prefer the Milkshake to the original Kit Kat. An added coolness? There was a super easy tear tab that made it easy and super fast to get the package open. The Double Chocolate Reese’s Cups were overall the same ol’ Reese’s Cups. There was a bit more of a chocolate flavor with slightly less peanut butter flavor, and definitely less peanut butter aftertaste. Honestly? There wasn’t a major difference, at least according to my taste buds. My Reese’s Cups preference? Still the original. Sometimes the original really is the best.

I totally agree with you on the Milkshake Kit Kat. I reviewed it a while back and said somehting similar:
