The Chocolate Box — See’s Piece-by-Piece #39 — Halloween Roundup

See’s Candies get all dressed up for Halloween in pumpkin shapes and witches’ hats, but the candies are, of course, all treat and no trick. Here’s a round up of what is available at See’s Candies stores and on its website for this sweetly scary holiday.

See’s dresses up its solid milk chocolate in a ghostly shape pail
that is available by itself or in several Halloween assortments, including one with a metal trick-or-treat pail.

Bats and black cats also get their holiday due. Sour candies in bat shapes and fruit flavors are one scary temptation. Sweet black cats decorate orange-flavored candy canes and images of the black feline are featured on a number of See’s Halloween assortment packages.

What is Halloween without pumpkins? No pumpkin-flavored chocolates, but lots of pumpkin shapes are available this Halloween. Choose bags of orange foil covered milk chocolate “pumpkin” balls or go for the larger solid milk chocolate disks costumed as jack-o-lanterns. Fans of See’s Candies’ honey marshmallow can scare up bags full of hand-decorated pumpkin-faced, chocolate-covered marshmallow treats.

pumpkinsSee’s Candies’ Halloween Pumpkin Chocolates are made up for the season with orange buttercream covered with orange chocolate coating and chocolate buttercream covered with milk chocolate. Both types of candies are hand decorated with tiny jack-o-lanterns and ghosts.

Or pick up a package of old favorites such as Scotchmallow, Milk Bordeaux, Milk Chocolate Buttercream and Butterscotch Square packed together in a specially decorated box featuring costumed trick-a-treaters including a pumpkin, a witch and a black cat wearing a witch’s hat.

orangeOne special treat that is available only from now through Thanksgiving is See’s Candies’ orange chocolate wafers. Dark chocolate on the bottom, orange fondant on top and striped with more dark chocolate, these candies would look perfect at any holiday party.
