Friends Forever!

kitkatUnless I am in the presence of puppies and dogs, you will not often hear me utter the word: “Cuuuuuute!” But come ON!  This is cute. Well, to be precise, it is CUUUUUUTE!

I mean, I don’t even like Kit Kats and I bought it. Because it was so stinkin’ CUUUUUTE! However, I suppose the point is to give it to a friend, so the fact that I don’t like Kit Kats ensures that it won’t be gobbled up before I get a chance to regale my best friend with its waxy milk-chocolately-encased message of loyalty.

I sort of like the idea of an impermanent friendship “pendant.” Because, if you can remember being ten-years old, your “best friend forever” could be Lisa on February 14th, but by the time February 21st rolled around, the title might just as easily have been transferred to Erin. Or Shelby. Or Rachel (yeah, these are the names of my real-life best friends in fifth grade).

With the Best Friend Kit Kat, you and your “best friend” can eat the evidence of such a permanent vow. And nobody will be any the wiser.

They are featured on the Hershey’s website, along with several other limited edition Valentines Day offerings.

I saw those at Walgreen’s too … but I didn’t quite understand what they were. They weren’t flavored, they weren’t a different shape … just a different design? Maybe I was confused because they weren’t in with the Valentines candy.

Cybele-
Right, they are not flavored in any special way. Just a different design - a very cuuuuuute design. Obviously, I was reaching for subject matter. Next up: hydrogenated fat-free halva. It’s good, too.
