A Taste of Lindt Classics, and a suggestion
I must confess. I secretly bought myself a box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day, knowing that my husband wouldn’t. I had convinced myself they were for Will, my one and a half year old son, but if that were true I wouldn’t have purchased a box of Lindt Classics - which contain several truffles and other candies, including caramels. These chocolates are just too big for his little mouth.

Now, let’s talk about the chocolates. The truffles? These aren’t your Lindt balls. Oh no! As yummy as those are, these are a whole different (and higher) caliber of truffle. They have rich, hard outer shells with decorative designs and creamy, smooth insides. The other shells are also a little thicker than the Lindt balls. These chocolates definitely exceeded my expectations.
I remember my grandmother receiving boxes of chocolates like these during the holiday season from her niece. They would come wrapped in brown paper and sit on the dry sink until suddenly one day they were gone . . . it was like they just disappeared. And I don’t remember ever getting to taste one. I think I am starting to understand why.
Now, onto the suggestion. I have this box hidden away in a desk drawer, where I can easily get to it and have a quick chocolate fix without overdoing it. One at a time is key (and then I don’t go and eat everything but the kitchen sink to satisfy the chocolate craving).
