Will you find the Golden Ticket?


Nope, no joke.

Five lucky Willy Wonka candy bar purchasers will win a trip to see the American Idol finale in Hollywood. Roundtrip airfare, hotel, etc for two. Not too shabby if you are an Idol fan.

Okay, so it’s not a candy factory tour and there probably won’t be any umpaloompas (darn!) but there will be some singing . . . and excitement. And I cannot promise that Veruca Salt will be there (but who knows, the band might be). I guess some might call this a sweet trip . . .

But seriously, have you ever seen a Wonka Bar sold? I haven’t and my husband has been wanting to try one for a long time. I’ve been checking area retailers since receiving this info a few days ago . . . no one seems to sell them. How are people supposed to win?

I see Wonka bars a lot at the 99 Cent and Dollar stores. But check Walgreen’s as well, they have a huge candy selection.

Thanks cybele! My Walgreens didn’t have them, but who knows about elsewhere…

Wonka’s PR firm also informs me that they are available at Toys R Us, Blockbuster and Hollywood Video as well.
