Dark Chocolate Dipped Altoids

march-042.jpgI was lucky enough to sample the new chocolate covered Altoids when they were delivered to my day job’s office a few months ago. We decided against writing about them there, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to write about them here.

I remember when Altoids were the “new” thing - strong mints that are downright addictive and great for quick breath freshening. I am a fan of the original peppermint ones, though my husband is a spearmint and citrus sours man.

Here’s a rundown of the flavors of Altoids Dark Chocolate Dipped Mints:

Dark Chocolate Dipped Ginger
Wowza! These things are true to the “curiously strong” moniker. They flavor really spikes when you suck on them, as opposed to chewing. Either way, these are truly addictive.

Dark Chocolate Dipped Cinnamon
These lack the punch of the ginger but are still delicious. If you are looking for a candy that you can eat one by one without gorging on, get this variety.

Dark Chocolate Dipped Peppermint
OH-MY-GOD! As if I didn’t already love the Altoids peppermints enough, these solidified it. Adding the chocolate to the mix is a brilliant move by Altoids. Buy these. Try these. Love these.
