A different kind of Easter Treat

310.jpgThe first time my future mother-in-law sent some chocolates to me, I wanted to travel to Dubuque, Iowa and raid the Betty Jane Candy store. Betty Jane Candies are famous for their Gremlin chocolates, and my taste buds understand why. These little masterpieces are covered in milk or dark chocolate and shaped like a gremlin. When you bite into one, you are in chocolate paradise. Inside is creamy caramel and pecans and you cannot just have one. I learned to put them in the refrigerator and taste the mouthwatering gremlin cold, and it helps to not tempt me to sit down with the whole box.

Betty Jane Candies have an assortment of chocolates. One is Cream Centers that you can choose from eleven different flavors in milk or dark chocolate. So if you like Vanilla, Black Walnut, or Espresso (to name a few), then this is your chocolate bliss.

They also have English Almond Toffee Chips that is milk chocolate and roasted almonds, then rolled in chopped almonds. This piece of candy is very rich, so if you have a sweet tooth, this is for you.

You can visit their website, and try the Gremlins. Float away into the riches of chocolate delight for a different kind of Easter treat.
