The folks at Hershey have just unveiled their newest contribution to the world of sweets … a new website, dubbed “the ultimate resource for all things chocolate,” http://www.allchocolate.com/.

The site is sponsored by The Hershey Company and is filled with history, and health benefits, uses and resources for chocolate. Divided into six different areas, it also features an “online video resource that showcases news, entertainment and tips related to all things chocolate, from segments on how to lead a chocolate tasting to baking and gifting tips from Hershey’s Kitchens. ChocolateTV also will serve as an interactive resource for professionals, aficionados and consumers to send in and share their chocolate videos.”

The six key areas of the site are:

Understanding Chocolate - uncovers chocolate’s history, its rich origins and delicate production process from cacao pod to chocolate bar.

Enjoying Chocolate - delves into chocolate’s complex flavors and provides background on how to taste and pair chocolates.

Cooking with Chocolate - teaches the secrets to cooking with chocolate. Sweet and savory, this area showcases chocolate recipes and the versatility of chocolate as an ingredient.

Chocolate & Health - features information on the health benefits of cocoa and dark chocolate, chocolate’s nutritional breakdown and the truth behind common chocolate myths.

Chocolate Professionals - features background on professional uses of chocolate from world-renowned chocolate expert John Scharffenberger, co-founder of Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker.

Chocolate Resources - provides information about industry organizations and associations, premier culinary arts schools and links to chocolate and health resources.

The site will be updated regularly and give consumers access to the latest in chocolate research and information from the industry’s foremost experts.
