Koeze Cream-Nut Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Clusters

8-oz-dark-peanut-butter-40.jpgPeanut butter enthusiasts are warned, Koeze’s newest confections, Cream-Nut Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Clusters, are hard to resist.

For the past 80 years, Koeze has been producing artisan peanut butter made with Virginia peanuts and a bit of salt. Their newest award winning Cream-Nut Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Clusters consist of a creamy mix of peanut-butter and white-chocolate on top of a layer of crunchy pecans enveloped in a thick coating of rich dark chocolate.

The Cream-Nut is Koeze’s version of a peanut butter turtle in which the peanut-butter and white-chocolate filling takes the place of the caramel in a traditional turtle. The pieces are substantial in size, requiring a minimum of two bites to fully appreciate these thick and chunky delights. The inside reveals a thick layer of peanut butter filling sitting on a bed of pecans. The filling is smooth and creamy, with a fresh peanut taste. The ratio of filling to pecans is well balanced, allowing the flavors to remain distinct while complementing each other. Unlike traditional turtles, which can be tooth-achingly sweet concoctions, the Cream-Nut achieves a good combination of sweet, smooth, and crunchy, with the dark chocolate coating supplying a nice richness in every bite.

Since Koeze is a small, independent company in Grand Rapids, Michigan it may be hard to find these clusters in a store near you; however, you can order them through the company’s website.
