Chocolate + Popcorn = Love

img_8217.JPGI was killing time in Pier 1 Imports (not a good idea for a spend-a-holic) and I got sucked into the clearance section stategically positioned to the left of the register.  Shelves one and two?  Chocolate… lots of chocolate. The square box marked Chocolate Popcorn Bar was the first to hit the counter. When I got home and opened the Dale and Thomas packaging, the Belgian Chocolate Covered Caramel Popcorn looked creamy and delicious.  The taste didn’t disappoint.

This is not just chocolate slathered on some popcorn. Somehow, Dale and Thomas have made an elegant looking bar and managed to get a kernel of popcorn in each of the 9 squares of the ¼ pound bar. It is good stuff. (And, since it’s Passover, it’s cool to know the popcorn is Kosher.)

Where can you find it? Try Pier 1, Borders, and other retail stores that carry chocolate products. There are some stores on the East Coast, check out the Dale and Thomas for all their goodies.

Did the popcorn not taste a tad stale?
Was the chocolate chewy with the popcorn inside?

Matty, the popcorn didn’t taste fresh, fresh, but I wouldn’t say stale either. There was a lot more chocolate as compared to the popcorn, so that might have had something to do with it. Same with the texture.
