Ms. Green might be making all the male M&M’s melt, but the candy itself is making all humans melt. M&M’s new Premium selections are not just tantalizing, but so good that you will finish the bag by the time the seductive adorable M&M commercial is over. Of all the new options to choose from, like Rasberry Almond, which is wrapped in dark chocolate, Mint Chocolate, or Chocolate Almond, my favorite thus far is the Triple Chocolate. Miniature layers of milk, dark, and white chocolate are in this M&M, and it is truly amazing that I can taste and ravish each layer.

If you are feeling exuberant about the M&M’s as I am, (yes, I have a life), visit Ms. Green on her website, http://www.m-ms.com/us/premiums. She’ll greet you with her sultry ways and invite you to take her quiz, “How fabulous are you?” This will definitely give you a few minutes to melt away from reality and smile. My score was that I am “Fresh and Fierce”, thank you very much.

Or get a romantic forecast for each flavor. Since the Triple Chocolate M&M’s were already in my mouth, I decided to check out the forecast if I gave these to someone. It read, “Can we say destination wedding?” Guess I should only give these to my husband … if I didn’t devour them first.

Luckily, there are actual sugar-free candies that I can savor throughout the day and sometimes, late at night. Who would have thought you could put the goodness of Baskin Robbins in a candy bowl?

“Smooth and creamy” hard candy that is sugar-free is the latest from Baskin Robbins. Found in Walgreen’s and my mothers’ candy bowl, I tried the little piece of candy and did not want to swallow. Their Mint Chocolate Chip candies are tantalizing to the mouth and I didn’t even need a spoon! A favorite to my mom’s stomach is Pralines ‘n Cream Ice cream, so she had to try the sugar-free candy and it was not a disappointment.

Along with these two scoops of delicious candy, Cookies ‘n Cream and Vanilla are offered in sugar-free as well. Take one out and enjoy without guilt, along with some candy corn. I mean, it is Halloween…

Blue Bell has created a new way to eat their favorite flavors on a stick. There are three new ice cream bars available right from their creamery. Coated Buttered Pecan on their traditional vanilla, Strawberries and Vanilla, and Milk Chocolate draped in chocolate covered cherries. Low in calories, but taste … phenomenal!

Twelve bars come in the tempting box, but after one, you actually do feel satisfied. There is nothing like Blue Bell, if only I could get on the inside to see how they create their wonderful creamery inventions.

This summer they have added three new additions to their family, and I, for one am thankful! Although I had to buy more Lean Cuisines and the hills have become my walking friend, but now I get to take the ice cream bar with me!

Got a craving for chocolate? As I have mentioned before, one of my ultimate guilty pleasures is Blue Bells Dutch Chocolate Ice cream (with m&m’s, of course). The Dutch Chocolate has met its delicious match. The new Chocolate Extreme, by Blue Bell, has every chocolate delight your taste buds could ask for. Get your tastebuds ready for their rich chocolate ice cream with thick chocolate fudge swirl in every bite. Mixed in is chocolate coated peanut butter cups, chopped pecans, almonds and walnuts. Even for those who don’t like their ice cream to be overloaded, Blue Bell seems to put the perfect amount and just enough richness into their product, that most chocolate lovers will find this their new beloved treat in their ice cream family.

Blue Bells Chocolate Extreme was so worth the migraine and calories, but I’ll walk it off… tomorrow.

At least in the summer I can walk it off and sweat it off! Unfortunately for my thighs, I think about ice cream in the wintertime as well, but that’s what comfy big sweaters and sweatpants are for…

Blue Bell ice cream has been stirring up some new additions to their scrumptious family this summer. Already hitting stores is the Candy Jar Ice Cream. Imagine not having to bite your lip while trying to choose which candy bar to grab from the aisle, or just picking one of each and looking up to the sales girls smile. This new creation is one of Blue Bells’ finest. Rich caramel ice cream with peanut butter cups, chocolate chunks, peanut brittle, chunks of caramel and chocolate crisp pieces. Each spoonful of their creamy ice cream can contain one of your favorite candy bar pieces. I’m salivating right now… Excuse me while I grab my bowl and walk to the pool!

Stay tuned for two more mouth-watering Blue Bell ice cream additions to your wanting taste buds …

Every time I think of summer and go into the swimming pool, I think about how my mom used to give my friends and I an ice cream treat. Ah, to be a kid again. Oh wait… my husband and I went over to swim in my mom’s pool and she came out with ice cream. My eyes lit up like I was five years old again, licking my lips. The only difference is I have been watching my figure for swimsuit season, so instead of a huge ice cream cone loaded with calories, she handed us a big ice cream sandwich.

The vanilla ice cream was between chocolaty wafers and only 140 calories. The new Skinny Cow line of ice cream is the dieter’s new best friend to beat the heat with a delicious treat. The ice cream sandwich was a decent size and very fulfilling. I am going to try the mint ice cream sandwich because I’m sure it is going to be so refreshing and scrumptious.

Another craving fix for an ice cream treat are their Skinny Dippers. The fudge bars are only 100 calories and the vanilla with caramel is only 80 calories. The ice cream cones are kind of like a drumstick, just without the calories. Chocolate with fudge on top of a crisp sugary cone, or vanilla with caramel.

On their website, they have a skinny calculator that shares the difference in calories. For example, instead of eating a glazed donut with 242 calories, eat an ice cream sandwich for 100 calories less.

I am going to call my mom now to see if I can go swimming…

Cupcakes have been a timeless tradition, alongside cakes, for birthdays and baby showers. There is something about the icing on top of a petite circle of goodness and licking the icing off of your lip. Depending on the cupcake, one may not be enough. But then I tried Sprinkles Cupcakes, when it first opened here in Dallas. The first thing that came to mind was the adorable name, but opening the door, it was much more than a name.

Sprinkles Cupcakes started in Beverly Hills, which means very upscale and trendy. These fancy cupcakes have spread their icing into neighborhoods from Atlanta to London. They have touched the mouths of Martha Stewart, Regis and Kelly, and Oprah. These cupcakes take two hands and a ravenous appetite.

On their calendar, different cupcakes are made on certain days. Some of the tantalizing flavors are carrot cake with cinnamon cream cheese frosting; Vanilla cake with lemon-vanilla frosting; and Peanut Butter Chip with peanut butter frosting. Even though these enticing delectable cakes do not come cheap ($3.25 each), it is worth the splurge for that sweet tooth craving. For thirty-six dollars a dozen, try decorating them for a wedding or shower.

If my hands get on a bag of one of the best chocolate creations, known as plain M&M’s, there is no stopping me. All over my mother and stepfather’s house there are a variety of the adorable M&M candy men riding in a car, in a fire truck, and sitting on a sofa chair. If I know that they are filled with the delectable chocolates, I go over to them and pull the handle or the foot and have me a handful.

I put M&M’s in everything from every flavor of ice cream to popcorn. This “mania” started when I presented a book report for my fifth grade English class. I cannot remember the book, but I had to come up with the food that looked like what the girl ate in the book. I mixed M&M’s and Quaker Oat Squares cereal. I still remember my mother squinting her eyes as if she just swallowed something sour, when I put my hand in the cereal box and put this concoction in my mouth. It was delicious!

The ultimate guilty pleasure is having a bowl of fudge ice cream with M&M’s mixed in. When I came upon the new M&M ice cream bars by Mars, my mouth watered in the ice cream aisle. I could not wait to go home and tear the wrapper off. It was as if they have been listening to my taste buds dreams. I got cozy on my couch and tore off the wrapper to find a red M&M that was less than the size of my palm. I bit into it and the chocolate was much richer than the little chocolates. Although this was a new tasty treat, it left me needing a drink of water and discontented. Maybe it is because of my trusty little M&M’s of the past, or I am old fashioned. I do recommend this new ice cream bar to the M&M lovers though, because every M&M, big or small, deserves a chance.

So this weekend I tried the new Hershey’s Bliss chocolates, going with the travel size, which came three to each package and only a 100 calories.

The Dark Chocolate is a hard square that is heavenly bliss. Dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you, and this was definitely good for my taste buds. I shared two of the squares with my husband and heard him sighing with “Mmm Mmm’s.” The other one I tried and could not get enough of were the milk chocolate ones with a creamy chocolate center. They are small squares that remind me of the size of a Dove Chocolate, but not as rich.

Hershey’s has done it again “with a rich taste you’ll want to savor longer.”

Marshmallow peeps are still his favorite and I still feel like that little girl watching him pop one in after another. The yellow ones were not always my taste buds’ favorite though. I have always fancied the blue bunnies, but I, like with other treats, take my time in eating them. The cocoa peeps are delectably flavorsome, if you want a hint of chocolate without eating a s’more. This Easter, peeps came out with yellow tulips, which taste the same, but adds to the variety available.

For fathers and their children, the Decorating Kit (comes with eggs and CakeMate decorating gel) could make for an enjoyable memory for Easter. While making eggs you can have your peeps, with your favorite “peeps.”
