With Christmas now officially one month away I’m already on a sugar high from the seasonal candy. I would imagine I’m not the only person feeling the buzz from eating all the festive candy that sparks my interest, especially considering how many candy canes the Spangler Candy Co. is making already. The company, which also […]

Elvis Inspired Reese’s Cups

I seriously thought someone was trying to be funny when I read that Hershey has just introduced a limited edition Elvis Presley Reese’s Cup. There is no mention of the limited edition Reese’s Cups on Hershey’s website, but I read about the Elvis inspired cups at JunkFoodBlog. The blog gives no information on where the candy is sold, just that it […]

Now That’s A Building

Talk about amazing architecture. Last month in New York, a French chef by the name of Alain Roby set a new record for the creating the world’s tallest sculpture made out of chocolate. Roby, who is chef at a Chicago Hyatt, created a “skyscraper” made out of pure dark chocolate. The building is 20 feet […]

Jaay Dunlap

I'm a self-professed foodie, born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. And for as long as I can remember, I have loved to cook. I can remember being a young girl, too small to actually cook, but dying to help in the kitchen. To this day, I vividly remember spending hours in the kitchen acting out my own cooking show, or standing in a chair so I could reach the mixer while helping make our family's traditional holiday desserts. With such fond childhood memories of food and cooking, it's no surprise that I am happiest when in the kitchen. And it's also no surprise that I have my own part time home-based bakery. When I'm not in the kitchen cooking or baking up a storm, I'm likely updating my blog Culinarily Obsessed, which chronicles my struggles and successes in the kitchen
